Carlos Placer, MD

Carlos J. Placer is board certified in pain management, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and has a sub-speciality in spine and sports medicine. He offers a full range of physical services, such as pain management, electro diagnostic studies, prolotherapy for spine injury, epidural injections, facet blocks, Botox injections, radio frequency and spinal cord stimulators. Dr Placer completed his medical education at the Universidad Central Del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He completed his residency at the University of Puerto Rico and his fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville. Dr Placer is affiliated with University of Florida, Shands. Dr Placer is committed to the excellence of his practice. He has a keen interest in spine and sports medicine, since he participates in sports himself. Dr Placer is a long time resident of the Orlando and Central Florida area, where he resides with his wife and three children.
